If you have not yet been able to make your commitment to the 39 Days of Giving campaign, it’s not too late. While we are not asking anymore, we gladly accept donations throughout the year.

What is The D39C Collaborative?
The D39C Collaborative is a 100% volunteer-run, federally recognized 501(c)(3) (EIN 47-2102844) foundation & parent organization designed to be responsive to the needs of students, parents, and Learning Experience Designers (teachers) at Design39Campus.
What is the 39 Days of Giving campaign?
The 39 Days of Giving campaign is the annual direct-ask fundraiser organized by The D39C Collaborative. This year, the campaign will run August 13- September 21, 2025.
How much should we contribute?
That is up to you! We invite families to give a gift of their treasure and/or time.
Treasure: We appreciate and value any contribution, no matter the amount. Our suggested contribution is $639 per student in the effort to reach our goal of raising $330,000 this year. Your contribution to the 39 Days of Giving campaign helps ensure that we provide a thriving learning community for our designers.
If you prefer to mail or drop off a check at the Welcome Center, please ensure it is made out to “The D39C Collaborative” and indicate the names of your Designer(s) on the memo line.
All donations are fully tax-deductible and voluntary. A donation is not required to participate in any school activity.
Time: We ask all parents to volunteer at least once during the school year. Volunteering can include spending time in your child’s classroom, helping at school events, serving as a traffic guard, joining a committee, preparing an activity for a LED, and much more.
We are striving for 100% participation from D39C families! At Design39Campus, we are all about our community collaborating and elevating humanity. Our ambition is that all parents participate, no matter what they are able to contribute.
Will my employer match my donation?
Probably. Last year, we raised ~$80,000 from corporate matching!
Where do the funds from 39 Days of Giving go?
The funds raised support a variety of needs, such as:

School supplies – that’s right, you don’t need to purchase school supplies for your student!

Music – all the instruments in the music room have been provided by The D39C Collaborative with donations made during previous 39 Days of Giving campaigns.

LED and staff gifts for birthdays, holidays, teacher appreciation, and the end of the year – you read correctly, you don’t need to purchase gifts for your students’ LEDs! The Collaborative takes care of that for you! Though, a thank you note to your designer’s LED at these special times is always appreciated.

Will we be asked for a donation again?*
We only ask parents to financially support the school once a year, during the 39 Days of Giving. As long as we reach our fundraising goal, we will not ask you to contribute again, and there will be no additional fundraising events.

Q: What is the "9 Days of Giving" campaign?
A: The 9 Days of Giving is our primary direct-investment fundraising campaign designed to launch the school year. We limit our main push to exactly 9 days so we can spend the rest of the year focusing entirely on our learners and Learning Experience Designers (LEDs). Because our campaign is entirely volunteer-run, all net proceeds go directly toward funding specialized positions, innovative tools, and essential campus programs.
Q: Who is the D39C Collaborative, and where does my donation go?
A: We are a parent-led, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not run traditional catalog sales or candy drives. Instead, we rely on this single direct-investment campaign to fund specialized campus positions, innovative tools, and community experiences that standard Poway Unified School District (PUSD) budgets do not cover.
Q: Why did the campaign change from 39 days to 9 days this year?
A: We shortened the timeline to respect our community’s time and energy. In the past, a longer campaign meant weeks of continuous fundraising reminders. By condensing our primary direct-investment push into just 9 days at the start of the school year, we can unlock our budget quickly and spend the remainder of the school year focused entirely on supporting our learners and staff.
