Korean Art Contest

Calling all D39ers who wish to explore culture and connect globally through art!! The KoreanEducation Center in Los Angeles (KECLA) — a huge part of our Korean program at D39C — is holding an art contest commemorating 116 years of Korean American immigrant history.

ANY student from ANY culture or background from grades K-12 is eligible to submit artexploring Korean culture. The theme is Korea: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow with a focus on Korean history, culture, and spirit. Submissions will be accepted until October 12, 2018 (via e-mail or in person at the KECLA office).

Winners from each grade will be selected and featured in the KECLA 2019 calendar and displayed in two art exhibitions!

For more info, go to KECLA.ORG   or email: haemin.park@gmail.com. If you need inspiration or help, feel free to ask the D39C Korea program teachers: Ms. Suna Ahn, Ms. Seojung Kim, or Ms. Michelle Svetlik.  Good Luck!
