8th Grade Promotion

Another year, another graduation of 8th graders. This is the 9th year Design39Campus has been open and that means the class of Kindergarteners at the beginning of the school are now promoting. Much planning has been put into this specific event to make it a year to remember. We will be sharing the schedule, what will be there, and even some other details.

Let’s begin with the basics. Design39Campus 8th Grade Promotion will be on the last day of school, June 9th, from 9:30am-10:45am. What will be the schedule for the Promotion? This is a commonly asked question by parents and is a must know. The first event is the traditional promotion parade through the Promenade. Students of all grades will be watching the parade. From there graduates will head down to the field, where the ceremony will be held. At the ceremony students will receive their certificates and there will also be a variety of speakers. Members of the promotion planning committee have made it clear to not crowd the stage and take pictures when students are receiving their certificates. Sienna Nelson, one of the people in charge of the promotion planning says, “Please do not get out of your chairs to take pictures, there will be professional photographers.” After the ceremony you will be able to take photos and have refreshments.  Students and parents will be allowed to leave after checking out through the Welcome Center.  The main colors for this year’s promotion will be black, gold, and white. The dress code is expected to be semi-formal.

The student promotion planning team has spent a few months on the planning of this special event; all down to the smallest details on the snacks and drinks, to the brand new banners that have been designed for this promotion and for future ones. They ask that guests please be respectful during the ceremony, especially when the student speakers are presenting. The event is expected to be around 1 hour. Come with a positive attitude and most importantly, have fun.

We hope to see all 8th graders when celebrations truly begin the night before, during the 8th grade party, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm on June 8th.
