Twelve Boyscouts from Troop 685, led by Assistant Scoutmaster John Antezana, and three cub scouts from Pack 394, led by Cubmaster Dave Wenk, met this past Saturday in a joint conservatory effort at the Design39Campus Garden. Garden beds were cleared to make way for fall season vegetables and broken beds were removed for new raised beds. The garden is an outdoor education center teaching kids healthy choices, sustainability, science fun, and more. For their hard work and collaborative effort with another pack, the boys will be awarded the Messengers of Peace badge, which highlights community service and shared actions to help build a global network of service. The badge symbolizes: inspiring, learning and deciding, doing, and sharing. The boys will be awarded the badge at a ceremony on October 8th at 7pm at Design39Campus. Consider joining the boyscouts (6th grade and older) Troop 685 on Tuesdays at 7pm. Or cub scouts (K-5th grade) Pack 394 on Mondays at 6:30pm. Both meet at Design39Campus in the Multi-Purpose Room.
